We have the only oriental rug cleaning facility of its kind that uses modern technology and chemistry along with time-tested methods to clean your most delicate rugs.
As a testament to our skill and ability, we have earned the Certified Rug Specialist designation from the National Institute of Rug Cleaning. This prestigious award is only given to professionals who undergo intensive training, including studying every aspect of Oriental and specialty rugs such as their history, cleaning maintenance, restoration and identification. In fact, we were the first company in the state and one of very few companies nationwide to be given this honor.
In addition, we are the first oriental rug cleaning company in Florida and again one of a select few in the country to be certified by Wool’s of New Zealand to clean rugs made with their wool products. We are also certified by the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification and a member of the Restoration Industry Association, which is the oldest professional carpet cleaning and restoration trade organization in the United States.
To start the process, we offer pick-up and delivery services. Or, for a lower cost, you may choose to drop your rug off at our plant. Regardless of which option you choose, once it arrives here the next step in our oriental rug cleaning process is to break up and remove the deep down crust of dirt and sand that can become embedded from normal wear and tear. Vacuuming is often not enough to remove this crust, which can damage your delicate rug, and any cleaning that would be done at your home is not thorough enough to take out this tough layer. That is why at our plant we have what we call a “duster,” which will remove the dirt that is deeply lodged in your rug.
Sometimes a rug is a bit dirtier than what it would be with normal wear and tear. We offer an extra step in our oriental rug cleaning process – our “scrub floor,” which allows us to chemically break down any materials that can damage or destroy your rug, as well as add an extra layer of cleaning and deodorizing. For rugs that need a normal cleaning, we use a mixture of cleaning solutions, agitation and brush strokes in our Moore Deluxe Quadra Clean Rug Washing Machine to restore the useful life back into your rug.
You can’t forget the fringes during the oriental rug cleaning process. They get special treatment and we hand-comb them to restore their appearance. We also offer a heat-set fiber protection process that helps keep your rug from absorbing soils and spills.
When your rug is finished being rinsed with fresh water, giant rollers help remove the excess water. It then is placed in our dry room, which has state of the art technology to remove moisture and circulate hot air – a substantial improvement over the drip-drying days of years past.
Finally, your oriental rug goes through an inspection to ensure it is as clean as possible. If it’s not, it goes through the process again until it is. It is then wrapped in non-marking, heavy-duty paper to protect it during storage and delivery.
With technology that can only be found in Florida exclusively at our company, it’s no wonder we are the best choice for oriental rug cleaning. We welcome your questions and invite you to tour our plant to see why you should choose us to care for your prized possession.
